From the Director, Clemens Bak:
"Since I first started showing the second floor and sharing it with the artists in the gallery and on the Registry, I have had a number of artists tell me they are interested in renting prime studio space above the gallery. I working out the plans, and I have made every effort to make the cost as reasonable as possible for everyone and accomodate any reasonable request. I am asking interested artists for a committment on a first come first serve basis. I'm also asking for a $50 deposit which is refundable if you back out or if the gallery is unable to rent the whole studio area. I am looking to fill the second floor by mid-January. And depending on the number of artists start leasing February 1. If you are interested in reserving space in either a shared studio or a single occupancy room, you need to get the lease and a deposit to me as soon as you can. I will be glad to show the second floor to anyone interested in looking at it again or for the first time.
This plan to expand the gallery and also offer studio space for artists in our building on the second floor is a major first step in establishing a North Cobb Visual Art Center here in Acworth. I should let you know, that if you were ever looking for the perfect setting to work, the studios at Gallery 4463 are exceptional. The natural lighting and layout make these studios outstanding workspaces. The view in any direction is phenomenal through the same 10 ft windows we have in the gallery below. There are aluminum sinks in each bathroom as well as a full counter kitchen area. Gallery 4463 will be managing the studios under a lease agreement with the owner of the building. If you are interested in having a studio here let me know right away. We will be offering 6 month leases for these studio spaces for $150 a month. Several of these spaces are shared and several are single artist occupancy. To make this work, we will need 10 artists to sign up to reserve space. There won't be any formal lease issued until we have enough artists on board. I expect these spaces to go fairly quickly so don't miss this opportunity."
